About Ethan

I'm Ethan, a fourth-year sheet metal apprentice based in Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. I'm building EthanMetals around the things that matter most to me: pride in my craft, ownership of my work, and trust earned by following through.

My experience spans CNC laser cutting, custom fabrication, CAD drafting, welding, and commercial ventilation installation. I've worked on both the shop floor and construction sites, learning how decisions on a drawing affect the person making the part—and the person installing it.

Along the way, I've been trusted with responsibilities beyond fabrication and installation, including material coordination, quality checks, planning, and helping crews stay organized. Those experiences have shaped how I approach a project: understand what's needed, pay attention to the details, and take responsibility for the result.

I care about the parts of a job people might never notice. How something fits. How an edge is finished. Whether I've left the next person with a solution or another problem. To me, taking pride in your work means holding yourself accountable even when nobody is watching.

I'm currently completing my final levels of apprenticeship training at BCIT while developing my own designs and taking the first steps toward an independent fabrication business. EthanMetals is also where I share that process—the builds, practical tips, and lessons learned along the way.

My goal is to build a company people feel confident choosing, and a workplace where craftsmanship, respect, and teaching the next person are part of everyday work.
