How it's calculated
Bend allowance BA = angle × π/180 × (R + K·T). Outside setback OSSB = tan(angle/2) × (R + T). Bend deduction BD = 2·OSSB − BA. Flat blank = sum of outside leg sizes − BD for each bend. Every brake is a little different: a test bend on a strip of known width gives your own K-factor.
