From idea to finished part
Describe the problem
A photo, a rough sketch, or just a description of what the part has to do and where it has to fit. Dimensions help but aren't required to start.
Draw it up
I lay the part out in CAD and send a drawing so you can check the sizes and the details before anything gets cut.
Cut, form, and finish
Cut, bent, welded or fastened, and cleaned up. Painted or coated if the job needs it.
Common questions
Can you work from a photo instead of a drawing?
Yes. Most jobs start that way. If the part has to bolt to something specific, measurements of that thing matter more than a drawing of the part.
Do you do one-offs, or only batches?
One-offs are most of it. Repeat batches are fine too, and per-piece cost drops once the layout work is done.
What thickness can you work with?
Typical sheet metal gauges through light plate. Tell me what the part has to hold or survive and I'll tell you what it should be made from.
